June 4, 2025

Last week, we had our final Montessori work periods of the year! It is so amazing to see how much the Pre-K students have learned and how much their independence has developed. We are so proud of all their accomplishments!

We had a very special guest reader - our Head of School for the Day winner, Dmitri (a Pre-K alum!). The boys and girls loved listening to Dmitri read and asking him questions about his favorite things when he was in Pre-K and what life is like in 2nd grade.

We said "clapped out" our 8th graders on their last day at HCA and wished them all the best as they get ready to move on to high school in the fall!

We worked together with our friends in kindergarten to create a giant mural of all of favorite memories of the year!

We had the "BEST DAY EVER" at field day! Huge shout out to Ms. Mann for planning such a fun day for all the students.

All that fun led to our very last day of Pre-K!

We took our last day of school pictures.

And one last class picture

Or maybe two...

There will never be enough words to share what a fantastic year this was. These boys and girls formed an amazing classroom family and we were so lucky to be along for the ride. It's so hard to say goodbye, but we are so excited to see what the future holds for all of them in kindergarten!

“We give you back your child, the same child you entrusted to our care last fall.  We give them back pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature than they were then.  Although they would have attained this growth in spite of us, it has been our pleasure and privilege to watch their personality unfold day by day.  We give them back reluctantly, for having spent nine months together in the narrow confines of a crowded classroom, we have grown close, have become a part of each other, and we shall always retain a little part of each other.  We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year.  We wish it could go on indefinitely, but give them back we must.  Take care of them, for they are precious and one of a kind.  Remember that we shall always be interested in your child and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do, whoever they become.  Their joys and sorrows we’ll always be happy to share." - Author Unknown
