February 17-21, 2020

We celebrated the 100th day of school this week!

We turned ourselves into 100 year olds!

We did 100 exercises to warm ourselves up for the day!

We started by running in place for 100 seconds and then did 10 jumping jacks, 10 squats, 10 push ups, 10 lunges, 10 toe touches, 10 frog jumps, 10 arm circles, 10 criss-cross jumps, 10 high knees, and, finally, 10 of our favorite dance moves. WHEW!

We are officially 100 days smarter!

The boys and girls colored shapes using a key and then graphed the totals to determine which shape had the most and which shape had the least.

We completed a STEAM challenge to build towers out of cups!

First, the students worked in small groups to build 4 towers out of 25 cups. Then, they worked together as a class to build 1 tower out of 100 cups. They learned that 4 groups of 25 make 100!

All day long we searched for 100 Hershey's kisses that were hidden in the classroom.

As we found them, we had to match the numbers on the bottom of the kisses to a hundred chart. It was a challenging task, but we did it!

We even ate 100 snacks at snack time!

The students counted out 100 combinations of Cheerios, goldfish, and fruit snacks and placed them on their 100 chart. Delicious!

We ended our celebration with a 100th day dance party - because it was the "best day ever in Pre-K!"

It was a wonderful day celebrating a big milestone in our Pre-K year!
