Do you want to build a snowman?

In art class this week, the Pre-K students made snowmen. They practiced their fine motor skills by coloring, cutting out all the pieces, and then gluing them together to build a snowman! This entire project showcases their individual skills and creativity. Whether the snowmen are standing tall or melting away, we love them all!

One of the many things I love about HCA community is the impromptu learning that takes place anytime and anywhere. Today as the Pre-K students were walking back to our classroom, they noticed the 8th grade girls were flying a drone in the STEAM lab. The girls stopped what they were doing to teach the Pre-K students how to fly the drone and even took their picture with the drone. The boys and girls were AMAZED!

January 13-24, 2024

What a busy two weeks we have had in Pre-K!

First, we welcomed a new friend to our class! We are so excited that Maya is here and her classmates have already embraced her as part of our Pre-K family!

We celebrated our foundress, Cornelia Connelly's, birthday as a school community. After the prayer service, we made friendship bracelets with our 5th grade buddies with some of Cornelia's inspirational words and phrases.

We got a brand new toy in our classroom and it has been quite the hit! Gianni was the first to build the whole flower garden and was so proud of his work!

This week, we were thrilled to welcome our EC parents to school for parent visitation day! It was wonderful to have you experience a part of our day and your children are still talking about all they taught you!

January 6-10, 2025

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for a happy and healthy new year!

What a better way to come back from break and a bonus snow day than to have some special time with our buddies in 5th grade!

Mrs. DeBardino invited the Pre-K class to join kindergarten for science class. We all learned about what snow is and then had a chance to make our own snow using baking soda and shaving cream. Oh the fun we had!
