Pumpkin Unit
On Tuesday, the Pre-K and Kindergarten students were split into four groups and worked together to write a story with a Halloween twist. The children learned that every story has a beginning, middle, and end. We conducted a story circle activity, where the boys and girls sat in a circle and created a story together. One child starts the story, and then each child adds a part. It’s a fun and collaborative way to build a story that encourages listening and building on one another's ideas. The students were not only the authors of their stories, but the illustrators as well. Everyone had so much fun sharing their stories and we can't wait to do it again!
On Thursday, it was time for some pumpkin culinary arts! The students worked in three groups to make pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin applesauce. They were so excited to help mix the ingredients!
Then on Friday, they were able to taste their pumpkin creations during snack - and we even added in a pumpkin latte! All the boys and girls tried the treats - and most liked at least one!
Montessori Work Time
The Pre-K students are concentrating so hard on their Montessori lessons and really refining their skills!
P.E. Class
In P.E. Class, the Pre-K students have been working on dribbling, kicking, and throwing, as well as some fine motor Halloween stations!

Please place all show and tell items in your child's backpack or a separate bag. Please help your child prepare three clues to give their classmates to help them guess which object they chose to share. The schedule for October/November will be as follows:
- Wednesday, October 29: something to do with Halloween
- Wednesday, November 5: something that begins with /c/
- Wednesday, November 12: something that begins with /r/
- Wednesday, November 19: something that begins with /p/
- Wednesday, November 26: NO SCHOOL

- For the Halloween Mission Party, please make sure your child is wearing play clothes under their costumes and sneakers. We will take the costumes off before they play outside!
