December 6-10, 2021

 Advent

In Religion class, Mrs. Devenney has been teaching the children about Advent - the time in the church where we prepare for Jesus' birthday on Christmas. They are making their own Advent wreaths and have lit the first two candles - the first for hope and the second for peace.

Decorating for Christmas!

We have been busy decorating our classroom for Christmas! The boys and girls have been hard at work making trees, angels, reindeer, and elves!

Oh Christmas Tree!

We even made our very own Christmas tree! The Pre-K students stacked boxes from largest to smallest and then painted the boxes green.

We attached some lights and a star!

Finally, we added our decorations! Our Pre-K tree has been a fun addition to our classroom!

Christmas Nativities

Associates from the Society of the Holy Child Jesus came to HCA today to present some beautiful Nativity displays from around the world. The Pre-K students observed and noted the different materials used to create the nativity and the diverse representations of the holy family. Then, they chose their favorites.
