 Thanksgiving

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

Last Tuesday, all the early childhood students came together to celebrate Thanksgiving "Charlie Brown" style!

First, we gathered to watch "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving." The boys and girls learned about the importance of friendship during the movie as Charlie welcomed all his friends to his home when they had no where else to go. They discovered that it was more important to celebrate who you were with, rather than what you had to share.

It was then time for the "feast," just like Charlie Brown had shared with his friends. The children shared plenty of giggles at what our feast included - bread, popcorn, pretzels, and M&M's (since jelly beans are hard to find this time of year) - but quickly devoured their yummy treats and enjoyed sharing this special time with all their friends!

Thanksgiving Prayer Service

We gathered together as a school community to celebrate all we are thankful for and honor three faculty/staff members for their years of service to HCA. Teigen and Vienna helped open and close the prayer service with the sign of the cross and Kalea spoke about Mrs. Fox-Tully. We are so proud of them for representing our class so well!

Christmas Ornaments

After the prayer service, we partnered up with our friends in Kindergarten to make ornaments to hang on the Christmas trees around the school. The children were so excited to work together and made beautiful candy canes and wreaths to decorate the trees.

New Christmas Lessons

This week, the boys and girls were so excited to discover the new Christmas lessons on the shelves. They have had a wonderful time exploring them!
