February 14-18, 2022

 Happy Valentine's Day!

Thank you to all who sent in valentines and special treats for the students. The boys and girls had a wonderful time celebrating together!

Sensory Bins

Thanks to the generosity of a former Pre-K parent (we love you, Ms. Tracy!), we have some AMAZING new sensory bins in our classroom. Sensory bins provide children with the opportunity to explore and learn through hands-on tactile play that engages their senses. Stay tuned to the blog for even more amazing things Ms. Tracy made for us!

Science

In science class with Mrs. DeBardino this week, the Pre-K students discussed snow and learned that snow comes from  clouds. They placed three cups of snow in different places (one in the classroom, one in the refrigerator, and one in the freezer) and made predictions about where the snow would melt and why. After some time, they came back together to see which predictions came true.

Finally, Mrs. DeBardino allowed the children to color their own snowmen. We were both very impressed on how well the children are doing with their coloring skills!

Important Reminders:

  • There is no school on Monday, February 21.
  • Students in PreK, Kindergarten, and 7th grade are collecting food and gently used clothing for Murphy’s Giving Market in Upper Darby. All donations will be collected until Wednesday, February 23rd. See the Happenings for more details.
  • Don’t forget to wear your t-shirts, tutus, ties, and tiaras on Tuesday, 2/22/22 for Twos-Day!

Enjoy the long weekend!
