Thank you to all the families who were able to join us for our annual EC Family Service Project! The boys and girls were so excited that you were able to share this special time with us. We were able to make 182 snack bags for Nutritional Development Services to help feed children after school.
Before the project, we talked with the Pre-K students and explained to them the "why" behind it. They were so surprised to hear that children in school did not have snacks like they do and immediately wanted to share what they had. After the project, the students used words like "happy," "thankful," and "proud" to describe how they felt after helping others.
This is just the first of many opportunities that the Pre-K students learn to live out our Holy Child motto, "Actions, Not Words."
Please place all show and tell items in your child's backpack or a separate bag. Please help your child prepare three clues to give their classmates to help them guess which object they chose to share. The schedule for October will be as follows:
- Wednesday, October 1: something to do with Fall/Autumn
- Wednesday, October 8: something that begins with /s/
- Wednesday, October 15: something that begins with /m/
- Wednesday, October 22: something that begins with /t/
- Wednesday, October 29: something to do with Halloween
Pre-K students should wear their regular uniform with sneakers on Wednesday, October 1!
